Empire Stars Grace Gealey and Trai Byers are officially married

Grace Gealey and Trai Byers have officially tied the knot after TMZ reports that the newlyweds were married on April 14 in a mansion on Grand Cayman.

According to TMZ, none of their Empire co-stars were invited to the private ceremony and in fact only 50 people made it to the guest list.

31-year-old Gealey, who plays Anika Calhoun AKA “Boo Boo Kitty” on Fox’s Primetime show ‘Empire’, confirmed her engagement to Byers on Tyra Bank’s Talk show, FABLife in October last year.

She said: “I’m not a fan of flings when you work, cause that’s where it gets a little dangerous.”

She added: “I think that if you do get involved at your workplace, you have to know that this is something that you want to be invested in, and this is just not just something that is frivolous and fleeting.”

The actress who was raised in the Cayman Islands began dating her co-star after the two met on Fox’s hit show and became engaged when Byers popped the question on her 31st birthday.

The pair celebrated their lavish wedding in style with their close friends and families and danced to hip-hop and reggae music at their reception; now that’s a true Empire wedding.
