'Suits' Star Patrick J Adams Hits Back At Woman Who Fat-Shamed His Royal Wedding Appearance

Publish date: 2024-06-25

Whilst looking back over pictures of a dear friend's wedding, there are plenty things you may want to talk about. The beautiful flowers, for example, the adorable pageboys and flowergirls, the moving speeches and so much more.

What you probably don’t really want to discuss is your own weight.

Actor and former Suits co-star to Meghan Markle, Patrick J Adams, however, endured this exact scenario after attending the royal wedding.

Adams, who played Markle’s husband in the hit show, attended the momentous day with his wife, actress Troian Bellisario.

The pair looked gorgeous, with Bellisario wearing a Temperly gown and netted headband.

Unfortunately, not everyone was taken by the couple's appearance. On Sunday, whilst Adams and his wife were waiting at the airport, ahead of a trip to Greece, a woman apparently commented on their picture in the paper.

She reportedly fat-shamed the actor and he decided to hit back with his own photograph of the woman, apparently describing the interaction in the caption below.

He wrote, 'She reads her paper. See's picture of me and Troian from wedding. "My God. What a terrible photo of you." I look over. "Really. I kind of like that photo. What do you think is wrong with it?" She pauses. "Well, you’re just so....chunky." She laughs and falls asleep. And .... scene.'

However, the actor came under fire for seemingly shaming the woman right back, with what was deemed an unflattering photograph of her, and he has since taken the snap down.

Adams has since apologised, posting a statement on his Instagram explaining that, whilst he still thought the woman was unfair to him, he should not have responded in the way he did.

Remember what Michelle Obama says Patrick, when they go low, we go high.
